Friesen named to two all-region teams

UCCS junior Matt Friesen was named to both the Daktronics and NSCAA All-Central Region teams for the 2010 men's soccer season. This season, Friesen led the Mountain Lions with nine goals and 23 points, set a new UCCS single-match record with three assists against Colorado Christian on Oct. 31, was named second-team All-RMAC, was named first-team academic All-RMAC, and is currently ranked fourth all-time in goals scored (25), second in assists (14) and third in points (64).

The NSCAA (The National Soccer Coaches Association of America) revealed their team on Monday with Friesen earning second-team honors. Daktronics (voted on by Division II school's Sports Information Directors) also had Friesen on their second-team squad. Friesen was the only UCCS player who was honored.
