February 17, 2010Winter camp date setThe men’s soccer program at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs will be conducting a college exposure camp for players age 15 or older on Feb. 20 at Mountain Lion Stadium.
April 15, 2010Miley signs with professional teamUCCS soccer standout Greg Miley was recently signed to the Kitsap Soccer Club. The Kitsap Soccer Club, a professional soccer team in the United Soccer League (USL), is located in Seattle, Washington. The USL is the largest organization of elite-level soccer leagues in North America. USL provides a clearly defined path for the progression of male and female soccer players beginning at the youth level (USL Super Y-League/USL Super-20 League), continuing up through the amateur level (USL Premier Development League/USL W-League) and on up to the professional level (USL PRO).

December 8, 2010Friesen named to two all-region teamsUCCS junior Matt Friesen was named to both the Daktronics and NSCAA All-Central Region teams for the 2010 men's soccer season. This season, Friesen led the Mountain Lions with nine goals and 23 points, set a new UCCS single-match record with three assists against Colorado Christian on Oct. 31, was named second-team All-RMAC, was named first-team academic All-RMAC, and is currently ranked fourth all-time in goals scored (25), second in assists (14) and third in points (64).
