UCCS youth camp dates announced
The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs soccer coach Nichole Rick and her assistant coach, Craig Decker will be holding two youth soccer camps over this summer. The first is from May 25th to 29th and the second is from June 8th to 12th 2009.
Both camps are commuter camps for boys and girls ages 5-14. The camps go from 9:30 a.m. to Noon on all days. It will be a skill-based training camp for beginner to intermediate-level athletes. The full five day camps cost just $100.00 each.
The UCCS Youth Camp exists to improve skills and knowledge of the game for players who are just getting started or have played for a few years. These camps are aimed at young players who want to learn more about the game of soccer, develop soccer specific skill, improve on skills they may already have and who want a good learning experience with a team sport. Players can range in age from five through high school ages. The groups will be divided by skill level for skill training and play. Younger age groups are divided by age.
Camp participants will work with college athletes and coaches! We will try to help develop an understanding of how to self-coach skills they learn at the camp to use later in their play.
