Bettner, Friesen, and Miley named to all-RMAC soccer team

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs senior Jeff Bettner was named to the first-team all-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference soccer team, the conference announced Wednesday.

Bettner started in all 19 games for the Mountain Lions this past season and acquired 17 points, seven goals, and three assists.

Freshman Matt Friesen was named third-team all-RMAC along with junior Greg Miley.

Friesen led the team with 20 points, eight goals, and was tied for first on the team with four assists. Miley had 12 points, four goals, and was tied with Friesen with four assists.

Kellen Johnson of Metro State was named RMAC player of the year. Fort Lewisâ€TM Zane Wells was named RMAC defensive player of the year and Tim Hankinson was named RMAC co-coach of the year. Colorado State-Puebloâ€TMs Robert Kinsey was named RMAC freshman of the year and Roy Stanley was named RMAC co-coach of the year.
