Nature of Work
Head coach the varsity women's soccer team for intercollegiate competition at a nationally competitive level.
Intercollegiate Athletics as a head coach
Position is supervised by the Athletic Director.
Supervises one or more assistant coaches
Examples of Work Performed
--Train varsity women's soccer team for intercollegiate competition at a nationally competitive level.
--Develop and implement 5 year, annual, seasonal, monthly, weekly and daily plan for practice and development.
--Develop and implement game plan.
--Maintain and increase knowledge of soccer training and coaching techniques.
--Supervise the training, development and placement of staff personnel.
--Evaluate prospective student-athletes.
--Develop and maintain correspondence for prospective student-athletes.
--Schedule, coordinate and supervise official and unofficial visits of prospective student-athletes.
--Supervise National Letter of Intent Signing and Athletic Financial Aid Contracts.
--Monitor academic performance of student-athletes.
--Insure compliance with all UCCS and NCAA regulations regarding academic eligibility requirements.
--Plan and coordinate Division II soccer schedule within NCAA, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and institutional guidelines.
--Supervise home game administration.
--Plan and coordinate team travel and lodging.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-Knowledge of soccer training and coaching techniques
- Understanding of, or ability to learn, the NCAA forms and compliance requirements.
-Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations in a multi-cultural environment that is committed to diversity and equality in education.
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
-High school or collegiate experience as a head or assistant coach
$28,000-$32,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience

The University follows Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations. For the purposes of FLSA this position has been determined to be exempt from (not eligible for) overtime under FLSA
