University of Colorado at Colorado Springs forward Matt Atkins was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men's soccer offensive player of the week, the conference announced Wednesday.
The senior from Fruita, Colo., had a productive week for the Mountain Lions accumulating five offensive points. Atkins scored a goal and added an assist against Montana State-Billings during Colorado Springs 3-2 victory. He also knocked home an unassisted goal against the Cal State-Monterey Bay Otters.
Atkins currently leads the Mountain Lions in goals, assists, and shot percentage. In only three contests this fall. Atkins has already matched the season goal leaders from last year's squad.
