CU-Colorado Springs defeats Southern Colorado 3-2 in overtime in men's soccer action
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Senior Drew Mersereau scored with 1:28 remaining in the first overtime period to lead the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs men's soccer team to a 3-2 victory over the University of Southern Colorado Wednesday at 4-Diamond Complex.
Mersereau had virtually an empty net to shoot into after Kevin Noleen beat USC goalie Brett Neverve off the dribble and passed to Joel Whalen, who served the ball to Mersereau. Noleen scored the first two goals for CU-Colorado Springs, now 3-1 this season, including one int he 80th minute to tie the score at 2.
Jason Efhan and Ryan Billiet notched goals for the Thunderwolves, who fell to 1-2-1.
