CU-Colorado Springs defeats Colorado School of Mines 4-1 in men's soccer action

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Freshmen Justin Behar, Ryan Slaughter and Tim Laxson each scored his first collegiate goal Friday as the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs men's soccer team defeated Colorado School of Mines 4-1 at 4-Diamond Complex.

CU-Colorado Springs gained a 1-0 lead as Adrian Marrero scored in the seventh minute off a feed from Fred Brown. Behar notched his goal in the 59th minute to give the Mountain Lions a 2-0 margin. After Marc Miller closed the game to 2-1 with a goal for Mines in the 67th minute, Slaughter and Laxson scored for CU-Colorado Srings in the 72nd and 90th minute, respectively.

Goalie Brandon Horoba made three saves for CU-Colorado Springs, now 2-1, while Alex Habliston made four saves for the Orediggers, also 2-1.
