Fort Lewis College defeats CU-Colorado Springs 3-0 in RMAC men's soccer battle

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Dio Cifuni scored two goals and Alex Zametkin a third as No. 20 Fort Lewis College defeated CU-Colorado Springs 3-0 Sunday in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men's soccer action at 4-Diamond Complex.

Cifuni scored five minutes into the game off a pass from Rich Hansen, then Zametkin put the Skyhawks up 2-0 in the 39th minute after a drive from Cifuni was blocked by a CU-Colorado Springs defender. Cifuni put the game away in the 77th minute after taking a pass from Takuma Kobayashi that beat Gold goalie Brandon Horoba.

The victory puts Fort Lewis ahead of the Gold in the RMAC standings. The Skyhawks improved to 10-4-1 overall and 8-2 in RMAC play, while CU-Colorado Springs fell to 10-3-1 overall and -2-1 in the conference.
