The UCCS Soccer team was defeated by Denver University 3-1 at Stetson Field.

The Gold suffered losses both on the scoreboard and on the field. Lead scorer for the team, Torin Haskell lost six teeth in the first ten minutes of play when he collided with DU's goal keeper and was out for the rest of the game.

"I wish we could have had Torin for the rest of the game" stated Coach Eddy Dietz. "He would have made the difference."

Midfielder Andy Staples scored the Gold's first goal against DU ever. Dietz stated, "I'm proud of him. It's no small feat to score against DU."

Haskell will return to face Colorado Christian University at Stetson Field at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
