COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After running one of the fastest times in the 800m in NCAA Division II history, junior
Skylyn Webb was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) Women's Division II National Athlete of the Week.
Webb, who competed at New Mexico's Don Kirby Elite Invitational this past weekend, ran the 10
th fastest 800m time across all divisions this season with a Division II automatic qualifying time of 2:06.20. Her time is the fastest in the division thus far while also placing her fourth all-time in the event at the Division II level.
Additionally, Webb ran the sixth fastest time in the 400m in Division II this year with a provisional qualifying time of 55.43 seconds.
The Delta, Colo.-native and the rest of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's and women's indoor track & field teams will stay close to home this weekend as they will compete in the Air Force Collegiate Open at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
