COLORADO SPRNGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's lacrosse team have been picked to finish ninth in the 2017 RMAC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll released this morning. The first-year program received 19 points in the voting.
The Mountain Lions finished one point behind Adams State while earning six points more than Oklahoma Baptist.
Lindenwood earned the top spot in the poll, racking up 81 points after receiving nine first place votes. In 2016, the Lions advanced to the NCAA Division II semifinals after finishing the regular season without a loss in the RMAC. Coming in second in the poll is Regis as the Rangers received 73 points to go along with one first place vote.
UCCS opens their inaugural season at home on Saturday, Feb. 25 when they host Adams State at 1:30 p.m. in a non-conference. The Mountain Lions will host five of their first six games at home, which will be held at Mountain Lion Stadium.
