Former University of Colorado at Colorado Springs volleyball coach Shawn Garus was recently named the new coach at Division I Boise State.

Garus led the Mountain Lions to a 44-56 record from 1998-2001. Their best mark under Garus was 22-9 in 2001, which included an 11-8 conference mark and UCCS' first-ever berth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference playoffs.
