The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs was picked to finish fifth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's preseason volleyball coaches poll.

The Mountain Lions received 58 points, three behind fourth-place Mesa State and nine behind third-place Colorado School of Mines. Nebraska-Kearney was picked to finish first with 20 points, just barely ahead of second-place Metro State (21).

Conference coaches ranked each team 1-13, excluding their own team, with one being the best and 13 the worst. Those rankings were totaled to provide the points.

Five of the top six selections came from the RMAC's East Division, which resulted in UCCS being fourth in its own division despite being fifth overall. Regis, also in the East, was tabbed to take sixth overall, followed by West Division residents Western New Mexico, Adams State, Western State, Fort Lewis and Colorado State-Pueblo.

Bri Morley of Metro State was picked as the RMAC's preseason offensive player of the year, while Nebraska-Kearney's Katlyn Heiserman was named the preseason defensive player of the year and her Loper teammate, Cola Svec, was named the preseason setter of the year. Joining Morley and Svec of the preseason All-RMAC team were Elizabeth Serra-Hsu of Colorado Mines, Jeri Walkowiak of Nebraska-Kearney, Chelsea Flaming of Fort Lewis, Jessica Howe of Regis and Tara King of Mesa State.
