The Mountain Lions (9-3, 4-0 RMAC) are looking to extent an eight game winning streak as they head up to Denver this weekend to take on No. 14 Metro State (8-4, 3-1 RMAC) and No. 22 Regis (8-6, 2-2 RMAC). UCCS is currently 2-2 against ranked teams and 2-1 on the road this season.

The Mountain Lions look to get some revenge in their opponents this weekend as both teams won in their past match-ups with UCCS. Metro won 3-2 on October 22, 2011, and Regis won 3-0 on October 21, 2011.

In the process of exacting that revenge, the Mountain Lions also look to continue climbing the all-time leader boards at UCCS. With his last win, Keith Barnett becomes No. 2 all-time at UCCS in wins with 59. No. 1 all-time is held by Jessica Wood (2004-2008), who has 78 wins during her tenure at UCCS.

The coach is not the only one climbing the leader boards though. There are also several players who are finding themselves atop the all-time leader boards as well. Senior middle blocker Nikki Kinzer moved into No. 1 at UCCS in block assists in the rally scoring era (since 2001), and No. 3 all-time in school history with 278. Kinzer trails Tara Henry (1994-1997) who is No. 2 with 305 block assists.

Kinzer also currently ranks No. 3 all-time in the rally scoring era, for solo blocks with 33. She trails Brook Akers (2006-2007), who is No. 2 with 41.

Senior setter Lindsey Stich also finds herself in the top 10 all-time as she is currently No. 10 all-time at UCCS in assists at UCCS with 1,275. Cortney Weedman is No. 9 all-time with 1346.

Freshman Kim Catlett had a career game last Saturday against Chadron State as she finished with 18 digs and 12 kills, each a career-best.

Freshman Jordan Banich also had a career game two weekends ago against Colorado Mines recording 17 kills, with eight in the third set.

The Mountain Lions look to improve all of these numbers, but most importantly, they look to add win number 10 and 11 on the season.
