Kinzer named to RMAC All-Academic First Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo- Senior middle blocker, Nikki Kinzer, the national leader in blocks per set, earned a spot on the RMAC All-Academic First Team. Kinzer is only the second student-athlete in the University of Colorado Colorado Springs volleyball history to earn the honor.

To qualify for Academic All-RMAC, student-athletes need a grade point average of 3.30 or better, be a starter or reserve, and completed two consecutive semesters at their current institution. RMAC Sports Information Directors at schools that sponsor the sport of volleyball selected the first and second teams.

Kinzer posts a 3.49 grade point average in English. Kinzer is a two-time RMAC player of the week, and the reigning RMAC female player of the month. She is second all-time in school history for block assists, needing just 20 more to become first all-time at UCCS.

Senior setter Lindsey Stich also made the RMAC volleyball Honor Roll with a 3.36 grade point average in sports training and performance. She is currently eighth all-time in assists at UCCS, with 1,421 in her career.
