Nikki Kinzer was named the RMAC player of the month after she helped the Mountain Lions to nine wins in 14 matches in the month of September. She hit .329 by notching 102 kills on 216 total attempts (31 errors) while blocking an impressive 1.61 attempts per set.
Kinzer was named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 17 after leading the Mountain Lions to a 3-0 victory against then-No. 17 Colorado Mines. She has led the Mountain Lions to an undefeated home record and an eight-match winning streak during the month. For the season, Kinzerleads the RMAC with 1.51 blocks per set and is third in Division II, and she is also leading a blocking effort that ranks seventh in Division II this season.
She is also No. 1 in block assists at UCCS in the rally scoring era (Since 2001) with 300, needing just 6 more to become No. 2 all-time in school history.
