COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs volleyball team remains eighth in the South Central Region according to the latest NCAA Division II Regional Rankings. The top eight teams will earn a spot in the 2012 NCAA post season tournament.
UCCS is set to host its final regular season matches this weekend against Colorado Mines and Colorado Christian, who are ranked second and ninth in the region respectively.
The winner of the 2012 RMAC Tournament, as well as the winners for the other two conference tournaments in the South Central Region (Heartland and Lone Star), will each automatically qualify for the 2012 NCAA Tournament. The remaining five at large bids will be chosen by a NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Committee and will be announced on Sunday, Nov., 18.
