COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Keith Barnett, the four-year Head Volleyball Coach for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, resigned his position this morning. His resignation will be effective immediately. The Mountain Lions advanced to the RMAC tournament for the seventh time in the last nine seasons and for the third time under Barnett in 2011.

Barnett went 68-46 and finished second in UCCS records for coaching victories. He was the fastest coach in program history to win 50 matches and led the Mountain Lions to at least 15 victories in all four seasons. The 10 home wins in 2011 were the second-most in program history and the 18 total victories tied for fifth in program records.

A targeted search for Barnett's replacement will begin immediately.
