Hahn and Catlett Earn All-Tournament Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Kim Catlett and Lauren Hahn led the University of Colorado Colorado Springs offense and the duo earned spots on the 2014 Steel & Silver Classic All-Tournament Team. The Mountain Lions finished the classic with a 3-1 record in the final tune-up before the start of the RMAC season.

Catlett earned her second all-tournament honor of the season with 4.29 kills and 3.64 digs per set, to rank third and fourth, respectively, in the classic. She recorded a weekend-high 20 kills against Pittsburg State and hit .394 the next afternoon against Alaska. Catlett also posted a season-high 25 digs against the Gorillas on Friday.

Hahn averaged 3.29 kills per set to rank seventh among hitters in the classic. She hit a season-high .407 with 27 kills in a win against Pittsburg State. Hahn also finished with nine blocks during the weekend.

The Mountain Lions averaged 14.07 kills per set to rank second among the eight teams. UCCS was one of three teams, along with Adams State and Colorado State-Pueblo, who finished with a 3-1 record in the classic.

UCCS will open the RMAC season on Thursday night at CSU-Pueblo. First serve from Massari Arena is set for 7 p.m.
