LONE TREE, Colo. - In a late-scheduled dual meet with future RMAC member Westminster, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs won a decisive match against the Griffins 55-169 today at the Lone Tree Golf Club. The dual was scheduled to assist Westminster in its application for NCAA Division II membership this summer.

Laura Gritz won the dual with an 80 for 8-over. She recorded a birdie on hole 5 and won the dual by two stokes against teammate Raquell Castillo and Westminster's Brandi Bork. Today's performance by Gritz ranked sixth for UCCS in its inaugural season, and she finished her career with the top six individual rounds of the season and eight of the top 10.

Castillo's 82 at 10-over matched her season-best and lowered her season average by nearly three-tenths of a stroke. She hit for par in five straight holes to finish the front nine.

Jamie Zook and Forre Zook finished third and fourth for UCCS and fourth and fifth overall, respectively. Jamie Zook put together an 86 and improved by two strokes on the back nine compared to the front nine. Forre Zook recorded pars on two holes in the front nine and finished with a 95 today.
