Danner to Emcee UCCS Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - RMAC Assistant Commissioner Eric Danner will serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the 2013 University of Colorado Colorado Springs Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony on April 4. The ceremony will take place in the renovated Berger Hall on the UCCS campus.

"I am honored to be the emcee of the UCCS Athletics Hall of Fame," Danner said. "I am looking forward to being a part of honoring such a great class of inductees."

Danner oversees all RMAC broadcasting, which includes the RMAC Showcase on Altitude Sports & Entertainment Network and the RMAC Radio Show on multiple radio stations across the geographic footprint of the conference. He also serves as a co-producer for the RMAC Shootout Basketball Championships on Altitude 2 and was the co-producer of the RMAC Football Game of the Week in 2008 and 2009.

Danner has produced the RMAC Hall of Fame and Awards Ceremony since 2005 and coordinated the RMAC All-Century Teams in 2009. He's also the primary liaison between the conference and America One Networks, the official video streaming for the RMAC.

Before he joined the RMAC offices, Danner was the Sports Director for Fox 21 and was named the "Best Sportscaster" by the Colorado Springs Gazette. He's a two-time winner of the "Best Sports Story" from the Associated Press, and was the co-host for KKTV's "Double Coverage Sports." Danner was also a news reporter and photographer for KOAA from 1996-2000 and worked for KGWN CBS 5 in Cheyenne, Wyo.

UCCS will induct Dr. Glenn Williams (philanthropist), Marc Hocking (golfer), Audrey Nelson (volleyball) and Stephanie (Frisch) Leasure (women's basketball) as part of the second class of the Athletics Hall of Fame.
