NEW YORK CITY - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team will begin the 2013-14 season ranked No. 17 in the golf World/Nike Division II preseason poll. The Mountain Lions finished in a tie for No. 10 at last year's national championships.

UCCS is the only RMAC team ranked in the top 25 of the preseason national poll. Colorado Mines is only other conference team mentioned in the poll, just outside of the top 25 as the top team receiving votes. The Mountain Lions are one of two teams from the South Central Region in the top 25, with No. 24 Oklahoma Christian.

The Mountain Lions will open the season at the Brickyard Invitational Sept. 15-16 in Indianapolis. The event is scheduled to feature seven other nationally-ranked teams, including three teams in the top five.
