Witte, DeLashmutt Lead Mountain Lions on All-RMAC Golf Teams

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Kevin Witte and Eddie DeLashmutt led four Mountain Lions who earned a spot on the RMAC 2012-13 All-Conference Golf Team announced this afternoon. Witte and DeLashmutt were both named to the First Team for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.

Spencer Biersdorff earned a spot on the Second Team while Grant Dean was named to the third team. The teams were decided with the GolfStat individual rankings throughout the fall and spring seasons.

Witte was the RMAC individual champion on Tuesday with a score of 210 for six strokes under par. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the conference tournament. Witte is ranked No. 50 in the GolfStat Division II rankings and finished in the top five in four tournaments this season. It's his second appearance on the RMAC First Team in his career.

DeLashmutt is on the conference first team for the second straight season after he finished as the runner-up at the RMAC tournament this week. He was named to the conference all-tournament team and is ranked No. 42 in the GolfStat rankings. DeLashmutt was the RMAC Golfer of the Week April 11 after the Saint Martin's Preview April 8-9.

Biersdorff is on the all-conference team for the second time in his career after a first team selection in the 2009-10 season. He's ranked No. 116 in the GolfStat rankings and finished in the top 15 of three of the last four tournaments.

Dean was the RMAC Golfer of the Week to open the fall season and competed in 10 tournaments with a stroke average of 74.57.

The four Mountain Lions on the All-RMAC teams since the 2008-09 season. UCCS will compete at the NCAA Division II West / South Central Regional Championships May 6-8 at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash., as the automatic qualifier from the RMAC.
