Isley Leads Mountain Lions in Round Three at Grand Canyon
LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. - Conrad Isley finished in the top 20 of the third round with a score of 75 as the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team finished eighth in the Grand Canyon Thunderbird Invitational today at the Wigwam Golf Course. Grant Dean and Spencer Biersdorff finished in a tie for No. 22 overall in the three rounds of the tournament.
Isley finished two strokes over par to match his second round performance from yesterday. He finished the tournament No. 29 overall and third for UCCS.
Biersdorff and Dean both finished the tournament at 10 strokes over par with scores of 226. Dean shot a 78 on the final day against Biersdorff's 79. Kevin Witte also shot 79 today for the Mountain Lions' final score of the third round.
The Mountain Lions finished two strokes behind seventh-place St. Martin's and nine strokes behind Western New Mexico and BYU-Hawaii.
UCCS will be back in Arizona next week for the Western New Mexico Mustang Intercollegiate at the Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear April 1-2.
