COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team will be back in Arizona for the second straight week when the Mountain Lions compete in the Mustang Intercollegiate April 1-2. UCCS will play at the Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Ariz., in a meet hosted by Western New Mexico.

Michael Tilghman, Kevin Witte, Conrad Isley, Grant Dean and Spencer Biersdorff will compete for the Mountain Lions in this week's meet. The five will be paired with golfers with Cameron and Colorado Mesa in the opening round and will start on holes 14 through 17.

Witte and Dean have both finished in the top five once this season. Witte finished second in the St. Edward's Invitational earlier in the spring season, while Dean placed second in the first RMAC event last September. Biersdorff has played in all seven events of the 2012-13 season and is averaging a team-best 73.86 strokes per round.

UCCS was receiving votes in the latest GolfWorld/Nike Golf national poll released last week and is No. 44 in the latest GolfStat Division II rankings. Dean is ranked No. 116 and Biersdorff is No. 130 in the individual rankings for Division II.

The Mustang Intercollegiate marks the second of a five-week series of events for the Mountain Lions, that culminates with the RMAC championships April 22-23. UCCS will be at the Division II Spring Preview next week, April 8-9, in DuPont, Wash.
