Trujillo Adds Mitchell to Signing Class

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - University of Colorado Colorado Springs Head Men's Golf Coach Phil Trujillo is excited to announce the signing of Dylan Mitchell of Summit County High School to a National Letter of Intent. Mitchell signed during the early signing period and joins Blake Young and Joey Hearn as members of the 2012-13 signing class.

Mitchell led the Tigers to a runner-up finish at the regional championships last season for the best team finish in program history. He won the major event at the Country Club of Colorado on the Rocky Mountain Junior Golf Tour this October and finished the top 20 of two American Junior Golf Association open events.

Mitchell also finished top the top 10 at five Future Collegians World Tour events and in the top 10 of the state championships twice. He was a two-time All-Jefferson Country First Team selection.

The Mountain Lions continue the 2012-13 season in March with the St. Edward's Invitational on March 4-5 in Austin, Texas. UCCS was ranked No. 43 in the final fall Division II GolfStat standings.
