Dean and Isley Lead UCCS in Final Round at Palmer Invite
AMARILLO, Texas - Grant Dean and Conrad Isley both shot for par in today's final round to lead the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's golf team to a fifth-place finish at the conclusion of the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational today, hosted by West Texas A&M at Tascosa Golf Club.
Both golfers shot their best rounds of the tournament this morning and Dean led the tournament with one stroke under par on the par-three holes. He finished in a tie for No. 13 overall at two strokes over par over the 54 holes. Isley improved his score by four strokes compared to his opening-round performance and tied for No. 46 overall in the results.
Spencer Biersdorff shot a 74 today for the third scoring performance for the Mountain Lions in the round. He tied for No. 17 overall and at three strokes over par. Patrick Skakel shot a 75 today to round out the UCCS scoring.
The Mountain Lions tied for fifth in the team results with St. Edward's, who was ranked No. 18 in the latest GolfWorld/Nike Division II poll.
Today marked the final tournament of the fall season for UCCS. Spring action will begin in Texas at the St. Edward's Invitational on March 5 in Austin, Texas.
