#12 Mountain Lions Finish Strong at the Socal Intercollegiate
Mission Viejo, CA: The UCCS men's golf team continues their early Spring season with the motto if you want to be the best, you have to play against the best. Although an 8th place tie finish might not seem quite up to the standards of the #12 nationally ranked Mountain Lions, given the incredible field of the top teams in Division II as well as the tough course at Mission Viejo Country Club, the UCCS men believe the dues they pay now will pay off come RMAC Championship and NCAA Championship time.
UCCS men finished in the following order:
T 10 Eddie DeLashmutt 73 74 79 226
T 26 Spencer Biersdorff 78 79 76 233
T 44 Grant Dean 82 74 83 239
T 51 Patrick Skakel 79 81 80 240
T 61 Mitch Buchner 79 82 85 246
The #1 ranked team in Division II, California State - Stanislaus, won the tournament. No other team from the RMAC made the trip to Mission Viejo.
Next up for the #12 ranked Mountain Lions, the Grand Canyon Spring Invite on March 26-27 in Phoenix, AZ.
