Golf Team Give Time to Care and Share

By Karlee Gradisar published March 30, 2011

Though the UCCS golf team was in the middle of a jam-packed week of tournaments and travel, they still made the time to give back to their community. The Mountain Lions worked at the local Care and Share on March 23 where they assisted in separating and preparing food for the less fortunate.

Mitch Buchner described the experience as, "fun and eye-opening for the team. Everyone contributed and it was interesting to be involved with the behind-the-scenes actions of a nonprofit organization."

The team was in Mission Viejo, Calif., on March 20-22 competing in the SoCal Invitational tournament where they took fifth place. They left March 19 for Phoenix for the Grand Canyon Spring Invitational.
