Morfeld Named RMAC Golfer of the Week
Brian Morfeld of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference golfer of the week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Morfeld shot a three round score of 207 (70-67-72) to put him seven under par to win the RMAC Event #1, also called the Peaks Classic. His second round 67 set a new personal low and he outshot his nearest competitor by four strokes.
Morfeld and the Mountain Lions will be at it again this weekend at the Falcon Invitational, which will be played at the U.S. Air Force Academy's Eisenhower Golf Club. Competitors will be playing two rounds on Sunday and the third round on Monday.
The Mountain Lions will continue their pursuit of their sixth consecutive RMAC championship when they compete at the RMAC/NSIC Crossover Tournament on Sept. 26-27.
