KEARNEY, Neb. - Riley Andrews and Brian Morfeld each shot a 2-under par 69 Tuesday to lead the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs to its second consecutive tournament victory, this one at the RMAC Golf Event #2 at Meadowlark Hills Golf Club.

Andrews' round came on the heels of his remarkable 11-under par performance over the first two rounds, both played Monday. The sophomore from Highlands Ranch shot a three-round score of 200 (13-under par), easily winning top individual honors by seven strokes over Jim Knous of the Colorado School of Mines.

UCCS' Tyler Bishop shot a 1-under par 70 Tuesday to finish third overall with a three-round score of 208 (5-under par). Morfeld's outstanding third round allowed him to climb into a tie for 13th at 221, while David Cosel shot 224 to take 22nd. Kevin Chan rebounded from a tough second round to card a 76 Tuesday and finish tied for 52nd at 236.

UCCS shot a three-round team score of 848 (4-under par), 15 strokes better than second-place Fort Lewis. Western New Mexico was third at 870, followed by Colorado School of Mines (883) and Nebraska-Kearney (884).

The Mountain Lions also won the RMAC Golf Event #1, which was played Sept. 15-16 in Broomfield. In each of the four required RMAC golf tournaments, each team is awarded a point for each RMAC school it beats in each tournament. By virtue of its two wins, UCCS now has 14 points towards winning its fourth consecutive RMAC championship. Fort Lewis is close behind with 12, followed by Western New Mexico (10), Regis (6) and Colorado School of Mines (5). Nebraska-Kearney, Colorado Christian and Colorado State-Pueblo each have three points.
