Golf: Napikowski named golfer of the week
Todd Napikowski of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week, the conference announced Thursday.
Napikowski finished third overall at the Northwest Region Fall Head-to-Head Tournament in Hastings, Minn. He shot a three-round, two-over par 218 to pace the Mountain Lions to a second-place team finish at Hastings Country Club.
Napikowski improved with each round, shooting a 74 and 73 on the first day and then a 71 in the final round. He finished behind St. Cloud State's Theo Frentzos (212) and Travis Ross (216) and was the top finisher among RMAC Golfers.
The Mountains shot an 899 (+35), 12 strokes better than third-place CSU-Pueblo.
