UCCS in Fourth at WNMU Tournament

Tyler Bishop finished the first two rounds of the Mustang Invitational Monday just one stroke out of the individual lead and boost the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs into fourth place going into Tuesday's final round.

Bishop shot an even-par 72 in the first round and 2-over par in the second round, both played on Monday at Albuquerque. He trails Colorado State-Pueblo's Andrew Hedrick by a stroke.

The Mountain Lions were one stroke out of the lead after shooting a team score of 294 in the first round. They faded a bit in the second round with a 306.

UCCS trails Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference rival Western New Mexico by three strokes for third place. Division I New Mexico and Midland Community College are tied for the lead nine strokes ahead of UCCS.

Ross McDermott was second among Mountain Lions golfers and tied for 10th overall with a 4-over par 148. Trent Daum was tied for 15th at 151, wile Eric Winder's 155 was good for 28th and Kyle Logan's 159 put him 40th.
