All five University of Colorado at Colorado Springs golfers scored among the top 14 Monday as the Mountain Lions took a commanding lead after two rounds of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Invitational.

The third and final round will be played on Tuesday.

Eric Winder shot an 8-under par 136 at the 7,067-yard layout at Riverdale Dunes Golf Club in Brighton, Colo. Winder carded a 5-under par 67 in Mondayâ€TMs morning round and came back in the afternoon to add a 69.

Fort Lewisâ€TM Eric Trujillo shot rounds of 66 and 70 to go into the final round tied with Winder for the individual lead.

The Mountain Lions enter Tuesdayâ€TMs round with a 13-stroke lead over second place Western New Mexico. Third place Nebraska-Kearney is 32 strokes behind UCCS.

Tyler Bishop was second among Mountain Lions golfers, shooting a 5-under par 139 which put him fourth overall. Kyle Logan was tied for eighth at 145, while Trent Daum was tied for 10th at 146 and Ross McDermott was tied for 14th at 148. Only the top four finishers of each round count towards the team score.

The tournament is the second of four that will determine the RMAC championship. UCCS won the first qualifier a week ago, scoring 14 strokes better than the nearest RMAC competitor. The team with the best aggregate score from the four tournaments (two in the fall and two in the spring) will be the RMAC champion.
