Wortmann makes it two in a row
Chase Wortmann made it two straight by again being named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference menâ€TMs golfer of the week, the conference announced Friday.
Wortmann earned his first collegiate victory by taking first place at the NCAA Fall Head-to- Head, Sept. 19th and 20th at the Wild Horse Golf Club in Gothenburg, Neb. The Mountain Lions' senior posted even-par 72's on all three days, besting 74 other golfers.
Wortmann also aided his team in taking first out of the 15 teams. The team victory is UCCS' first since regionals in 2003.
