Wortmann named golfer of the week
Chase Wortmann was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference menâ€TMs golfer of the week for the week of Sept. 8-14, the conference announced Friday.
Wortmann shot 77, 69 and 75 finishing in 21st place (17 teams & 91 golfers) as he led the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs to a 16th-place finish at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational (Eisenhower Blue Course) in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Sept. 10th and 11th.
UCCS was the only Division II club as 16 of the 17 competing squads were NCAA Division I men's golf teams.
Wortmann was only five-over par (221) for the tourney.
