The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs slipped to fourth place at the Northwest Region Fall Head-to-Head Tournament, but remained in good position to qualify for the regional tournament.

The Mountain Lions shot a three-round score of 894. Qualification for regionals is based on the aggregate score of the two head-to-head qualifiers between the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and the North Central Conference, with the top eight teams making the regional field. CU-Colorado Springs currently has a 23-stroke lead over the No. 9 team, Colorado State-Pueblo.

The second qualifier will be played in the spring.

St. Cloud State won the fall tournament with a score of 862. Fort Lewis, which shot 8-under par as a team in the second round, finished second at 882. Fort Hays State slipped in just ahead of the Mountain Lions at 892.

Brett Swedberg and Chris Little, both of St. Cloud State, shared the individual title by shooting 3-under par 213s. Fort Hays Stateâ€TMs Cole Nondorf, who won the RMAC title a week ago, tied with Fort Lewisâ€TM Jeremy Lederer for third at 214.

CU-Colorado Springsâ€TM top finisher was Chase Wortmann, who shot a disappointing 78 in the third round to slip to eighth overall at 219. Trent Daum rallied for a 1-over par 73 in the third round and ended up with a 224 to climb to 16th. Close behind were Neil Huffaker (225), Joe Saliba (226) and Adam Jardon (235).
