- UCCS will open the 2013-14 athletic season with women's soccer at home with Division I South Dakota in an exhibition game at Mountain Lion Stadium on Sunday.
- The Mountain Lions return eight starters from last season's RMAC tournament season, including RMAC Goalkeeper of the Year Kelly Schroeder.
- UCCS was picked fifth in the RMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, while South Dakota was picked seventh in the Summit League. The Coyotes are 0-1-1 after the Division I regular season began last weekend.
- Agnes Arnadottir returns for her senior season after breaking the season record last year for points (25). She needs 12 to break the career points record and four goals to break the goals record.
