Golf Tournament Early Registration Deadline is Wednesday Night
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Early registration and discounts for teams and individuals planning to compete in the 2013 University of Colorado Colorado Springs Mountain Lion Tournament will end Wednesday night, Aug. 31. Prices will increase by $15 per person at 12 a.m., MDT, for the tournament on Sept. 4 at the Air Force Academy's Eisenhower Golf Course.
Individuals and team members can register online at GoMountainLions.com. Team captains will need to register themselves first, and then follow the instructions in the confirmation e-mail for registering team members at the discounted price of $110 per member, if registered by Wednesday night. Individuals can register on their own for $125 if registered by Wednesday night.
Sponsorships for businesses and individuals begin at $200 and can be reserved by contacting Melinda Hagemann in the CU Foundation.
In addition to a round of golf on the Robert Trent Jones-designed Blue Course, the entry fee includes golf cart, Nike golf polo, gift bag, lunch, dinner and drinks. Prizes will be awarded to the top finished team, the longest individual drive on select holes and the closest to the pin on select holes.
Funds from the golf tournament help support the growing Mountain Lion athletic department. UCCS finished the 2012-13 academic year with four All-Americans and two Academic All-Americans, and matched the best finish in school history for the RMAC All-Sport Competition Cup.
