Mountain Lions Launch Instagram Presence

By Jared Verner published April 4, 2013

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - In addition to Facebook and Twitter, fans of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs athletic teams can follow their teams through Instagram. Fans can follow the Mountain Lions with the handle, GoMountainLions.

"After creating the account in the fall, we've started integrating Instagram into our workflow when releasing news and information to our faithful fans," said Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information Jared Verner. "There's always new ways to interact with our fans, and this was one of the growing social media networks that we identified as a place where we need to have a presence."

Instagram joins Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as the official social media avenues for the UCCS Mountain Lions. Additional accounts may be added in the future as trends and research indicate the best areas for investment in time and resources.
