Rigby appointed to track & field board
University of Colorado Sports Information Department employee Matt Rigby was appointed to a member-at-large position on the Colorado Association Board of Directors.
Rigby has previous track and field experience which includes: four-year varsity athlete at Evergreen High School in Vancouver, Washington, team captain senior year for both cross-country and track letter-winner at Washington State University, United States of America National Scholar Athlete, ran in 1997 US National Cross-Country Championship.
His work experience includes: Sports Assistant Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District in Beaverton, Oregon, operations with the Utah Jazz organization, Utah Athletic Foundation, distance coach for Colorado Springs Striders Track Club, was assistant coach for 2002 Washington class 2A State Championship Track and Field team at Pullman High School in Pullman, Washington, sprint and relay coach at Lewis Palmer.

|October 8, 2009||Busy schedule on tap for UCCS Athletics||It will be busy the next several days around the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Athletic Department. The Mountain Lions will host volleyball matches on Thursday (vs. CSU-Pueblo), Friday (vs. Adams State) and Saturday (vs. Western State), plus men's soccer on Friday (vs. Colorado Christian) and Tuesday (vs. Adams State) and women's soccer matches on Sunday (vs. Regis) and Wednesday (vs. Colorado State-Pueblo). In addition, the athletic department will be hosting its annual silent auction (Sunday at 5:30 p.m.) and fundraiser golf tournament (Monday at 8:30 a.m.).
