| September 10, 2007 |  | Lecture series: The Olympics: Knowledge Enhances Performance | Dr. Michael Poliakoff, Vice President of Academic Affairs, University of Colorado System, will address the organization, impact and purpose of the original Olympics. Dr. Poliakoff has a doctorate in classical studies from the University of Michigan. Before coming to the University of Colorado he was president of the National Council on Teacher Quality and has led major strategic efforts at the National Endowment for the Humanities to strengthen the teaching and learning of the humanities in American schools, colleges and universities. |
| June 10, 2008 |  | UCCS Mountain Lions winners on and off the court | Jessica Stewart led the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Mountain Lion volleyball team to its first trip to the NCAA Tournament with more than 600 assists last season. |
| June 26, 2008 |  | Steel & Silver trophy to be presented on Tuesday, July 1 | The first presentation of a traveling trophy between the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and Colorado State University-Pueblo is scheduled for 3 p.m. July 1 on one of Colorado Springs' busiest street corners. |
| July 1, 2008 |  | UCCS receives Steel and Silver trophy from CSU-Pueblo | The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs' Chancellor Pamela Shockley-Zalabak received the Steel and Silver trophy from Colorado State University-Pueblo's President Joseph Garcia this afternoon in front of Colorado Springs' busiest street corner. |
