Fitzgerald win CoSIDA award

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs sports information director Doug Fitzgerald was honored early this month by CoSIDA, the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Fitzgerald took first place in the 2003-04 CoSIDA Fred W. Stabley Writing Contest in the category of event coverage for a story he wrote on the soccer team's 3-2 double-overtime win over Concordia-Moorhead.
Fitzgerald, who is a CU-Colorado Springs alum, is entering his fifth year as sports information director at the school.
