The UCCS women's tennis team lost its final match of the regular season 5-4 to the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers Saturday and the Country Club of Colorado.

The UCCS women's tennis team lost its final match of the regular season 5-4 to the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers Saturday and the Country Club of Colorado.
The Mountain Lions played well in doubles action coming away with two wins. Lauren Daniels and Jessika Kardell beat Bianca Hesler/Brooke Carpenter 10-8 at No. 1. Natasha Vander Molen and Nikki Duvall also won 9-8 at No. 3.
Laura Backlin breezed thorough her match at No. 5 singles, winning 7-5, 6-0. It was Backlin's seventh straight win as she finished the season undefeated in RMAC play.
The Mountain Lions will now prepare for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament which begins Friday at Colorado-State Pueblo.
