Rivera and Schultz opened Saturday by knocking off the region's No. 1-seeded doubles team, Pablo Acabedo and Chris Smith of Northwest Missouri State, 8-5 in the quarterfinals.

UCCS' No. 2 doubles tandem was finally eliminated 8-4 later in the day by Washburn's Nathan Martin and Brad Johnston.
