Men's tennis defeats Colorado Christian 9-0
The UCCS men's tennis team defeated the Colorado Christian Cougars 9-0 on Friday at Lakewood.
The Mountain Lions played outstanding in doubles play. Jason Schultz and Eric Rivera defeated David Fitzgerald and Kevin Hilmes 8-1 at No. 2. Marc Knutila and Josh Johnson beat Jameson Dillon and Robert Lujan 8-2 at No. 1. Jason Bisanti and Mark Knutila won their match by default.
In singles play Josh Johnson defeated David Fitzgerald with an overwhelming score of 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4. Jason Schultz also swept his match against Kevin Hilmes 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3. Eric Rivera defeated Robert Lujan 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2. Sean Voorhies also won his match against Jameson Dillon 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1. Jason Bisanti and Ken Huston each won their match by default.
