The grass was long and wet with some remnants of the overnight frost in some shaded areas. It is all the making of classic cross-country conditions. The Rust Buster was a low-key early season preparation race with no team score kept. The full race plan for UCCS will come into action three weeks from now in Boulder.
April 15, 2010Big Competition in KansasSix runners from the University of Colorado-Colorado participated in the 83rd Kansas Relays in Lawrence, Kansas. The meet consists of many NCAA Division-I runners and some professionals and it is one of the best track meets in the entire United States Midwest region. Most of the Mountain Lion participants ran season best, a few by large amounts of time.
March 28, 2010The Outdoor Season Started-FinallyThe Mountain Lions finally took to the track, outdoors Sunday in Pueblo. The CSU-Pueblo Open was a track meet that was suppose to be the Colorado Mines Open and contested Saturday, but the competition in Golden was cancelled due to weather and reschedule to Pueblo a day later. So we had a rare local collegiate track meet on a Sunday, but it was better then no track meet for the second week in a row.

Both the men's distance medley and 4x400 relay won their respective heats. The Mountain Lions finished with a team score of 25. Host, Fort Lewis was second with a team score of 36.
