Women's Cross Country remain at No. 10 in National Polls

NEW ORLEANS- The top 10 teams in the national polls remained steady this week.  The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's cross country team as No. 10 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national polls released early Wednesday morning.  The Mountain Lions are one of four RMAC teams ranked among the nation's top 10 teams. 

UCCS competed at last weekend's Erik Anderson Invitational in Spokane, Wash. The Mountain Lions finished second among Division II teams and fourth among all collegiate teams.  Angie Martell finished third among Division II runners on the six-kilometer course.  The same course will be used in November for the national championships.

The Mountain Lions will take the upcoming weekend off to prepare for the Metro State Invitational Oct. 5, in Denver, Colo.
