Mountain Lions No. 23 in National Polls

NEW ORLEANS- The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's cross country team ranked No. 23 this week in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national polls released early Wednesday morning.  Stonehill College is also ranked No. 23 with UCCS.  Both teams receiving 22 points.

The Mountain Lions competed this past week in the Colorado College Invitational at Monument Valley Park in downtown Colorado Springs where the team finished third overall.  Bryce Gregoire, Luke Dakin, Mitch Klomp, Matt Winfrey, and Nick Baca finished in the top 20 among collegiate runners.  UCCS was ranked seventh this week in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association South Central Regional Polls released Tuesday. 

UCCS will be competing Oct. 5, at the Metro State Invitational in Denver, Colo.
